I don’t have this problem with Russian, only with Swedish (“Meet the Natives” is a new thing for this language), I will wait, there is nothing else I can do about it, but I really really like to have it now 
But does the Swedish official course already have this feature at all?
I guess so, the icon is active. And the video doesn’t load but I see the answers below.

I know that the Swedish curator for the official memrise courses said that they would be introducing video soon, so I know that they have video available.

I’m experiencing the same problem - videos in Meet the natives questions don’t display, I still see the answers to choose from and as I can’t really see the questions I keep loosing points. I would even like to switch off the Meet the natives mode but I don’t think it is possible.

What is really bad about it: Those question also appear sometime on the “normal” strengthening mode (don’t know how it is called in English, because my memrise app has a German user interface).
At that point you can only guess the correct answer, which is terribly annoying, because more often that not I get it wrong and the word/phrase is added to my “difficult” word, even though I know it perfectly well.
@eekboom , Can you just turn off the Meet the Natives mode until this bug is fixed, so that you don’t have the issue with the word/phrase being added to your “difficult words” list?

Thank! That was good advice. I didn’t even know that the option exists. But now I found and switched off “Video” in the multimedia settings.
Still, I hope that this is being fixed soon, because I really look forward to the feature in the Swedish courses.

I must say I’m really grateful that there finally are videos in swedish courses and they actually still are working in my device

Joshua I have the same issue. I use an nexus 6P and the meet the natives mode keeps being suggested, but then it says “the natives have escaped!”
My girlfriend uses an iPhone and it works for her. Do I need to reinstall the app or something?
Is this the full error message you see? -> “The Natives have escaped, Kidding, This level has no videos yet”
