Suggestion: provide option for typing-only translation questions (no unwanted hints)

Hi,
I love memrise, but it currently has a property that hinders my learning. I often find myself covering the bottom part of the page with my hand to prevent my eyes from reading the multiple choice options. When my mind tries to translate from English to the language I’m learning (specifically German), seeing even a wrong but similar answer is an unwelcomed big hint. It also prevents memrise from noticing smaller mistakes I might do (e.g. spelling, the correct article of the word (masculine, feminine, etc.)), since I just realize I got it wrong, and I click the right answer. This is bad, since memrise doesn’t know I don’t perfectly know this word, so it won’t cause me to practice it more often. It is very prominent with expressions of several words. I am relieved every time I find a typing question, since it allows me to practice my spelling without unwanted hints. I understand that this type of easier questions can be appropriate when learning a new word, but when reviewing learned words it’s counter-productive. This kind of forced hints was the reason I left Duolingo.
I suggest that in the settings, a user will be able to disallow the multiple-choice questions when translating from the known language (e.g. English) to the language they are learning (e.g. German), and remain mainly with typing questions.
Others also complained about this:

Please consider my suggestion in order to make the learning more efficient, and not frustrating.
Thanks.

As you already mentioned: There have been lots of complaints about this (and no change seems to be planned by memrise - rather the opposite at least for their own courses). But if you use the desktop version there is at least the workaround to use the “all typing” userscript by cooljingle.
