I would love to meet any others engaged in this task, one made significantly more challenging from the comparative dearth of learning materials and vast differences between the dialect and the ‘standard’ form.
Please come and post about your experiences, how much progress you feel you’re making; if you’re able to understand Egyptian media or speakers yet, and what your techniques are for improving vocab and grammatical understanding.
Memrise has been a big help for me, of course, as is ‘lingualism.com,’ probably the single biggest and most accurate collection of modern texts teaching EA. Also the app ‘Egyptian Arabic Dictionary’ is really amazing and has helped so much with my verbs.
