I looked everywhere but i couldn"t find an any information about this.
In one course i saw a word “der Stau” and it’s meaning is "the Jam"
I asked this word to my teacher and he said this word can’t be use like this.
Google translate says: Stau is also mean the jam.
Duden says: it is not.
“der Stau” would be better translated as “traffic jam”, not just as “jam”. At least in British English we usually say things like “I got stuck in a traffic jam”.
“Jam” used by itself would make you definitely think of “Marmelade”
Can you say which course this problem appeared in and add a link, please?
