Why does Speed Review only do one-way translations from English to x? I think it would be much more useful if it mixed it up in both directions.
After all, if you’re having a conversation with someone, whether by voice or online media, you have to understand the foreign phrases and formulate your own replies. So you’re doing bi-directional translation all the time.
As an aside I like speed review as I prefer the flash-card type system. It’s a shame Memrise only does it in the “Difficult Words” section instead of a dedicated flash-card format. With speed review I do try to formulate the translation in my head before looking at the answers.
