Agreed, this really interferes with my learning. If I can’t speed review, there is no way for me to keep up such high levels of activity.
Hi Joshua, when will the next update be? My speed review still isn’t working.
My Russian course is still affected by the lack of a properly functioning Speed Review. Using normal Review I have more or less got my Review backlog under control but it takes a lot of time and effort. Unless it is cured soon, I may have to start ignoring Review, at least for my Russian course, and concentrate on finishing it (I am now at the 80% mark and without the Review problems I would certainly have been further along).
It would be good to know whether Speed Review can be fixed, or alternatively, whether the flow of items to be reviewed can be slowed so that dealing with them in normal Review is feasible.
My completed courses do not seem ever to be affected by Speed Review problems, but the ones still being worked on, ie. the important ones, do.
Thanks for keeping at them about this. Speed review has not worked properly on any of my courses for some time now. At least today if I review 50 words the count goes down by 10 or so.
I’m having the same issue on my PC. I’m studying the Japanese courses.
I’m having the problem as well on the Duolingo Swedish course. I do speed review and get a large streak up and when it ends, only 5-10 words have been reviewed. At this point, it seems to be faster to just use the blue review button.
I don’t mind doing Speed Review for 100 items and the number to review only goes down 40 or 50, but when it goes down only 1 or 2, or indeed none at all, it is a problem.
German speed review not working and hasn’t been for a few weeks. Same problem as others have said, number of words ready for review doesn’t decrease, even if the programme tells you have finished your speed review
This is getting silly now. I have resigned myself to just ploughing through via normal review. However, imagine if you had asked your pupils to use memrise every day! It would really interrupt their ability to learn!
As a teacher, I am so grateful for Memrise (but only when it’s actually working!).
Hello all,
this issue should now be resolved, taking words up for review into account rather than presenting random words.
Apologies for the disturbances this caused to your learning schedules.
