Speed review in Pro app way to fast

Hi jimistar90 and new to the forum. In the memrise Android app the speed review goes really fast. Would it be possible to slow it down a bit say an extra 2,3 seconds?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. But it seems to me a sensible feature, i.e. the user can configure the timer speed (though not too slow -> otherwise it defeats the purpose of the ‘speed’ review).
If you want, you (or I) can make this into a feature request, by changing the the title into ‘[Feature Request] Speed Review in PRO timer configurable’. Don’t forget to write what the feature should (probably, set the timer in Speed Review to ‘slow’, ‘medium’ and ‘fast’ or something like that.

If you know the words very well and can read fast, then it is absolutely do-able to get to 98 words per session.

BUT!!! I am learning languages which are written in Roman script, not a different alphabet or characters, so that makes it easier, of course, plus, the two languages I have learnt so far on memrise, Swedish and Dutch, are both very close to other languages I know well, German and English, so I recognise a lot of words from their cognates in those languages.

Are you learning a language with a different alphabet or with characters?

I can imagine that it would be fair to have a slowed-down “Speed Review” for those learners who are learning a language that is very different from ones they know. Or a “Beginners Speed Review”. Maybe you could mention these in your feature request post?

I think that the purpose of speed review is to actually review the foreign words. For me, the problem with the fast timer is that often one cannot hear the foreign words, because the app jumps to the next question. So I would like Speed Review to at least finish pronouncing the foreign words before starting to count time, in order to prevent jumping to the next question before letting the user hear the foreign words.

Whenever the foreign phrase/ string of words is fairly long a similar problem occurs with the writing: Not only is the pronouniation cut off (as indicated above), moreover, the written words are cut off, because the field containing the answer is too small!

Cutting both written and oral review off = not reviewing!
