My spanish 1 course is says that I have 10 new words left, but if I select “Learn new words” I get just some unhelpful message that I should check support page. From what I understood it might be because of web and mobile app content…
The thing is, this is the second time this happened. First time the support person was not able to help me and I ended up having to restart the course from beginning and finish it again. Why is this keep happening? The web version obviously plays a second role for Memrise (you just need to look at the better “difficult words” sessions or the grammar lessons), but I would hope that it at least doesn’t get broken over time…
Oh well, I guess I just needed to vent… since Memrise is mobile-focused service and I am primarily PC user I have already canceled my subscription…
Hi @jpokorny,
Thanks for getting in touch.
We are aware of this issue for users learning courses with grammar on web, and our developers are working to have it fixed as soon as possible.
Grammar levels are displayed on our website, but they can only be accessed by logging in on your iOS or Android mobile apps. Due to the inconsistencies in the number of items, this causes Learn New Words to display an error. Please note that you may have completed this course (you can check this by clicking on the course’s title and ensuring that all the levels have a flower icon), so in the meanwhile, you will just need to ignore the Grammar levels to fix this (simply click on a Grammar level on web and then select ‘Ignore this level’).
If you experience this issue with other courses, we advise moving on to the following ones or ignoring Grammar levels on these as well.
I hope this clears any confusion. Thanks for your patience.
Best wishes,
Memrise team
