Only in the jlpt n5 readings course, my points are reappearing on the leaderboard over and over. The more I click, the more it repeats. My points are not changing, just replicating.
I use Chrome, but I tested Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge, and the problem persists.
And in the general leaderboard of this course, I am the number 6 (with 4 bots at the top), but the number in front is written number 10.
Could it be because of the bots with lots of points?
It is strange that bots get points on the course without having the course added on their “learning list”. And the leaderboard started to get weird after they started showing up. So bots are not only gaining points in a few seconds, but they may be interfering with the course.
Yeah, what ever the bots are doing to get the points is definitely starting to affect the course in other ways, hopefully it doesn’t start causing other issues for the course/s.
Thanks Milamy for posting good screenshots of this. I can’t reproduce it - maybe because the leaderboards just refreshed, it being Monday.
I think it is something to do with the leaderboards updating in the browser tab. Does it happen when you’ve had the same tab open for a while, and done other activity?
Have you ever seen it happen straight away, when you first open the page?
Doing several tests, I noticed that the leaderboard looks strange when I click on one of them that has my name in the top 10.
When I click on the leaderboard that my name is not in the top 10, the square with my username does not replicate. But every time I click on the leaderboard that has my name, it increases one square.
If I close the course, it returns to normal and starts replicating again only when I click on a leaderboard that has my name in the top 10.
I did a sequence of prints to try to illustrate what I’m trying to say:
As for the bots, the user who was on the leaderboard until yesterday, named Joshua_User_Test, was probably Joshua eliminating the bots. So @Joshua, thank you for deleting the bots. Perhaps with that, the leaderboard will return to normal in a short time
Hello @Tampora. As your name appears on the “monthly leaderboard” in the top 10, I think you will see the problem that is happening to me. Could you do the test, please?
Yeah, I realised earlier that the same thing was happening with me as well.
Exactly the same as the screenshots you have provided.
What happens is when I click through the week/month/all time, every click creates another entry of myself at the bottom for some reason. It just ends up showing all three of my scores at the bottom for the week/month and all time.
Thank you for your confirmation. And as memrise is already eliminating the bots of this course, it is possible that soon this problem will be solved too
