I was wondering if a couple of tiny changes could be made to the new Ziggy format?
When I click on my top-right icon and link to my profile, the following box comes up, with the number of points I need to level up:
I know it’s just a simple number, but just for ease of reading and user-friendly purposes, would it be difficult for you guys just to put a comma in there (i.e. 2,793,106)? That might seem slightly insignificant, but small things make a big difference!
Is there anyway we can keep the day streak badges? I know this is a bit more than just separating an integer with commas, but I think it would be well appreciated by all memrisers. Although not everyone choses to enable a daily goal, for those who do, it becomes a point of personal pride! Particularly for those extraordinarily dedicated memrisers with day streaks of 365 days or more. I feel it gives us, as learners, something to aspire to, so would be a sad thing to lose.
I hope you’ll consider these in your next update. They aren’t terrific adjustments, but I think all users would be glad of them. As I said earlier, small things can make a big difference!
I also wish they would put back showing how many points we currently have instead of only showing how many we need to reach the next level. It was very motivating to be able to click the drop down and quickly see how many points I’ve gained after a review session or learning a new level. Now I have to go through the hassle of opening my profile in a new tab to be able and see how many points I have
I care about my own progress, not about some random thing called “Ziggy” and how much more I need to do to “evolve” him
I want the old thing back where I was a Membrain and stuff like that. Most of the people on this thing are actually adults and I don’t think any of them want some stupid Ziggy alien thing…I want the old stuff back with the streak badges and Membrain’s menonist’s and overlords etc
Please, please, even if you keep the Ziggy thing, give us back the ranks. I took pride in the rank I achieved and the badges I had. Now, instead for aiming for meminence, I am aiming for some non-descript “Level 14”, which is not particularly motivating Of course, it is the progress that is important an the badges are just a "physical"manifestation of it, but for some of us, it was very important to see them change and to watch the number of points grow.
All the purple stuff was demotivating. So I had to ged rid of it.
The Ziggy thing was too childish… sorry, i did not accept it in my computer. When the users need to reach this point, you sure failed designing the environment.
