I mean, how nice would it be to look up a word and find all the mems related to it from all sorts of courses without waiting for someone to put one on the specific course im using?

Yeah that would be nice, just have a place for people to tag their mem with the word it’s for when they make it.
- and I’d imagine a tag for what language it’s for too, so you wouldn’t get words that are spelt the same as the word you are looking for but from another language in your search.
I agree that would be good. When I’m looking for mems, I open up another window and use Google. I type in Memrise +mem +… (the word or phrase).
This is a good idea… what was already requested years ago on the old forum. So here’s the bad news: Although lots of people want a feature like this, as far as I can recall memrise never responded to the suggestion or gave any indication of whether they’d do it.
When they destroyed all the old discussion and suggestion forums and replaced them with this one, we asked them to add a category for feature requests and suggestions, and they explicitly told us no, they actually do not want to see or read any, so there won’t be a category for them here. So here you are making a feature request, and suggestions about how it would work, as I and others expected would happen here even if they didn’t make a category for it. But memrise has been very clear that they’ll ignore these completely.
