[Site Feedback] Mark the courses with inactive creators

the team shoud consider giving the user/other creators the possibility of marking the courses with inactive creators… or to send mails to those inactive creators and ask them if they still want to curate their own courses …

just one example: http://www.memrise.com/course/646376/extra-idno/ the course creator seems still active on memrise, however he never answered one single user request… this is of course not the only case… (no, I don’t want to curate this course, I have enough things to do)

See following topic for explanation for my edit:

(off topic: to be very honest, I find it strange to add even more classifications in front of the title - what for then did the memrise team the categories and subcategories anyhow? should the (sub)categories not be enough? // the tags are absolutely ok (if the system works - sometimes i can add tags, many times i cannot))

and, to come back to the topic in discussion, can the team please send emails to the course creators, regarding users’ requests, at least for tonight/tomorrow, until the old forums are taken down? As said, for more than one year, I never got one email about user request, although my email settings are set accordingly.

If you want to know more about that or discuss it, you can visit the linked topic and perhaps leave your comment there.

I think this is a very reasonable suggestion.

Pretty much every question or comment I saw in course forums (even the most popular courses) went completely ignored. For months and years.

There’s really no incentive for course creators to answer learners, though. Somehow, that has to change.

Yes, good point Joey.
