Memrise didn’t use to do this, but recently it started to auto-check words when typing them. It kinda defeats the purpose, because now if it’s isn’t “green” when you finished typing the word you can simply tweak a letter here and there until it is right. Memrise will think you know the word perfectly, but you really don’t… I tried to find a greasemonkey script to disable that, but there doesn’t seem to exist one (yet).
Anybody any hints as to why Memrise does that and/or how to disable that behaviour one way or another?
Unfortunately I haven’t found a solution yet… I tried to write a GreaseMonkey script that removes the responsible event handler, but I wasn’t successful so far.
