Seeing updated content in iOS app

We still have to logout and back in again to see course updates (corrections, additions) in the app, this of course means that we have to somehow know that there are updates to our courses so we should do the logout/login thing.
Once we have done that we need to redownload all offline courses which is not so fun if you have many and/or big courses.

Yep.

I wish someone there just wrote decent code to synchronize entries with the backend instead of forcing end users to do all kinds of odd steps to keep the course material in sync.

It’s doable (Google apps are excellent concerning sync.)

hi I had a problem which u can see in below link

do we have a same problem?!??

It’s been a very long outstanding issue, the iOS app does not properly update courses that have been modified. I would classify it as a P1 bug myself.

Only workaround is to delete the app, reboot iOS as that way the registry entries are cleared, reinstall Memrise. Not a nice solution for them to just make the synchronization protocols work properly.

I end up doing this myself 2-3 times a month just now. Just to make sure the courses are updated and do not have outstanding issues I’m not aware of.

For me the workaround of logging out of the app and back in again works, after that I get the updated content in the course, but I’d of corse like to see the bug fixed.

New items added to the courses show up in the app automatically but not all changes.
