Rotating causes app to crash

Rotating the iPad while in typing mode causes the app to first “half rotate” as in the attached screenshot and then crash.

Thanks for reaching out.

So we can investigate further this issue, could you please let us know:

  • Does this occur on all courses?
  • Which device you are using
  • Which OS you are running
  • Which version of Memrise you are using (you can find this information at the bottom of your Settings in the app)
  • When you say it crashes, do you need to quit the app and start again?

@MemriseSupport It happens on all the courses I’ve tested, the screenshot was from the difficult words mode.
The iPad is 14.4 and the Memrise app is 3.2.23.30742.

A slightly different rotating issue.
German Memrise, Level 3. V3.2.25.31578
Rotating iPad Pro (IOS 14.4) to landscape hides the German word when learning new words. New issue in the last couple of days.

Thanks for this screenshot and your device details.

We’ve opened a bug report for this (internal code QA-781) and are collecting reports to help our developers identify and fix the issue. I’m afraid I don’t have a timeline for how long this will take right now. In the meantime, are you able to learn in portrait mode or at app.memrise.com?
