I’m creating a new course (Ancient Greek-Spanish) that contains words introduced by me in previous courses (I’m creating a reader with interlinear texts available through multimedia level and most of the words appear in previous courses). I thought that Memrise would recognize the existence of those words when creating a new level and typing the words, but it doesn’t or at least does so only randomly. No matter which data base I select when I create a new one (Ancient Greek, Ancient Greek for Spanish Speaker, etc.), Memrise recognizes some words and others not, although I can see that all of them exist in my previous courses (in fact I’m copying the words from previous courses in order to avoid mistakes).
My questions are the following:
- Does Memrise recognize words from previous courses when creating new ones and typing them?
- Which are those courses established as sources for recognition?
- Does have the selection of wikis (Ancient Greek, Ancient Greek for Spanish Speaker, etc.) any influence on the identity of the recognized words?
I love Memrise, I make use of it on a daily basis, my students have all their vocabulary on this platform, but I find that the available information about how it works (documentation) is very poor.
Thanks for your time.
