Requesting a refund

Hi, I had a premium membership but I haven’t used this app in a long time. Last Friday I saw a pending charge on my credit card for a membership renewal. As I don’t use this app anymore I immediately went into the settings and made sure my plan was cancelled. My question is, as the credit card charge is still pending, do I have to wait for it to be completed before I can ask for a refund? Or perhaps the charge can be cancelled? I’m definitely still in the 30 day period.
