Pronunciation is not showing up anymore (PC + Mobile)

Hi all !

Since I discovered that Memrise associated with an handwriting application on PC and Mobile was the perfect way to learn Japanese Kanjis, I’m always using it to learn new characters.

But apparently, since 1 or 2 months, maybe more, the character pronunciation is not showing up anymore on iOS. I tried to search where to reactivate this somewhere, without success.

On the web version, the pronunciation is showing up, but not during the “Pick the correct one” & Word/Definition exercises (before, when the answer was correct, the pronunciation was showing up to the left of the seed animation if I remember well).

The lack of this feature is really breaking the way I was learning my Kanjis. Friends using Memrise on my university are thinking the same way.

How can we reactivate this ? Is there a parameter hidden somewhere ?
Thanks a lot !

As I don’t have iOS, could a post a screen shot? Was the pronunciation written next to the character?

Hi, thanks for your answer.

Well, after more researches these last hours, it seems the problem is mainly coming from the course itself. By the way, there is things available on the Android version, and not on the iOS one.
For example, here is an actual screenshot of a same course on iOS and Android :

Android :

( Here is the concerned course : 1010165/inalco-kanji-s2/ )

As you can see, on Android I’m able to see the pronunciation of the concerned Kanji. Not in iOS. And I think it would be even better if the pronunciation was already written without pressing the " + " grey button.
But for example accessing to this course : 940419/inalco-kanji-s1/ , the pronunciation is written correctly. So apparently, this is coming from the course itself.

It’s the same on Web version. The pronunciation isn’t showing up for the “inalco-kanji-s2” course, but you can see it on the “inalco-kanji-s1”. So this is definitively not coming from the software itself. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

By the way, it would be nice to have the same information available on Android for the iOS version.

EDIT :
Well after all, the iOS version is lacking of something. Just tried the same tests on Web / Android / iOS with the “inalco-kanji-s1” course.
On Web and Android, the pronunciation is visible during the exercises. Not on iOS.

Example, on the same “inalco-kanji-s1” course :

It may be something negligible, but I like to see the pronunciations during the exercises, it help me to get everything clear and verify if what I have in head is correct.

That’s quite some difference! I find it often difficult to read the small print on the Android quickly, especially in Speed Reviews. They should be make the font there bigger too! But you are right, the extra notes are not visible on iOS. Weird. Probably different specifications for each OS.
