I finished the Dutch 7 course right now in on iOS, but it doesn’t show in the web.
I refreshed the web several times, and I swipe-removed the app and reloaded it. When I did that, it looked like this:
See how the 35 went to 34, and the daily goal doesn’t look complete anymore? I definitely completed it, though!
(I put this in web bugs because it seems to me that it’s the Web that’s “behind” the iOS app status, but maybe this is an iOS bug?)
I have seen the same between Android and the web. For example, I would ignore (or unignore) a word on the web and it would still show as not-ignored in the App. With progress I have seen it too, but it is more difficult to see. Certainly, if you use only the app or only the web, it works fine. It seems that any changes/progress from the App is nicely synced with the web (if there is an internet connection of course), but from the web to App it takes a while. It seems to me that the App is good in uploading changes, but somehow doesn’t check for changes or not able to detect changes on the web-server.
Thanks, but in this case it really looks like it’s the web that isn’t getting the changes that were uploaded from the App. I’m going to start a new course, because I worry that if I try to complete the Dutch 7 course again on the web, it might cause massive confusion between the web and the app even more… I’ll write in to Memrise support at this point, too.
And now, finally, the web corresponds with what I see on the iOS app. I don’t know what took so long, but at least it’s fixed!
