Pro membership. Words aren't marked as difficult words

Hey.
Sometimes when I review words and do mistakes they aren’t marked as diffucult words.
Why so?

So I make for example 20 mistakes and get only 12 words to the difficult words.
Sometimes even when I have done mistake the words aren’t even marked.
I didn’t count I just said for example.
That’s reason why I never bought annual membership.

There are two different levels of getting an answer wrong. In one case, Memrise considers it totally wrong. Your answer will turn red, and the item should be added to your difficult words list. The review schedule for the item will be reset, as if you just learned the word.

In the other case, Memrise thinks it was only a typo. Your answer will turn yellow, and the item will not be added to the difficult words list. The item will come up for review in 4 hours, and then it will return to the interval it would have been at if you hadn’t had a typo.

Do these two cases match what you’re experiencing? (This would mean there’s no bug.)

Or have you seen cases where you got something red-wrong, and it didn’t get added to the DL list?? (This would indicate that there is a problem…)

Hi @Kaspian,

That’s interesting. My ‘yellow errors’ are being added to my Difficult Words list. I’ve checked this again while reviewing just now and had four () examples over two different courses where I either forgot an accent or was one letter wrong and, in each case, they were added as DWs.

I wondered if it may have been something to do with having the all-typing userscript running but I had it switched on for one course and switched off for the other. So that made no difference.

Of course, this has no bearing on vincislao’s issue, which sounds like something I’ve noticed happening in some of my community-created courses for a long time. I have no idea why, in some of my courses, ‘red errors’ (including those in ‘non-typing’ courses) don’t get added as DWs.

EDIT: Hmm! Have just reviewed a different course and my ‘yellow errors’ were not added to my DW list, although a ‘red error’ was. So there is clearly an inconsistency.

@alanh - It sounds like the DW feature is not as predictable as it should be…
