Completed Portuguese 1 and continues to Portuguese 2, but started from 0 points and lost the streak albeit practicing every day without break. Very frustrating.

Everything’s fine, actually. The thing is that Memrise-streaks are course related rather than subject-related (like a language). The same applies to points/XP - these are also per course. However, there’s also your overall XP which you can see by tapping the user-icon on the top right (in the app) or by accessing your profile page on the web.
