Payment Issues - Lifetime Plan

I’ve received an email offer and I’m trying to order the Lifetime Plan, but every time that I proceed to payment (tried both credit card and paypal) some error occurs.

I’ve tried another subscription plans to see if they had the same problem, but the payment procedure worked well. I think the problem is just with the lifetime subscription.

Can anyone help me to enjoy my offer?

Please also confirm at which point this occurs, e.g. (1) right after opening the link you’ve received, or (2) only after clicking the Pay now button at checkout?

This error occurs only after clicking the Pay Now button at checkout, with both options (paypal or credit card). I`ve tried your link and the same error occurs just with the Lifetime Plan, as I said in the first message.

Would be nice to redeem my offer, which is “Subscribe to Memrise Pro Lifetime Plan until March 8 and get a Pro Annual Plan to present a friend”.

hmm, thought I’d have a look at this - selecting lifetime I’m being presented with a login screen, and when I log in then I get
HTTP 404 Not Found

The webpage cannot be found

Hi, sorry about this - I can see that you’re already Pro, so you won’t be able to access this page I’m afraid (though you shouldn’t receive an error).

I couldn’t reproduce this error page. Can you please try the following steps?

  • Please make sure AdBlock, AdBlocking technology or Ghostery have been disabled
  • Clear cache and cookies
  • Disable any active extensions and/or userscripts
  • Ensure your browser is updated, and restart it
  • Can you try loading the session in Google Chrome?
  • If Chrome fails, can you try loading the session in incognito mode?

If all of the above fails, please let us know and confirm which device and browser you’re using.

In the meanwhile, you can still check the price on app.memrise.com/premium while logged out or in Incognito mode. :slightly_smiling_face:

Any improvements with my problem?

Today I’ve tried again to subscribe the Lifetime Plan (tried both payment methods) but without success yet.

Recalling to mind, my payment problem just occurs with the Lifetime Plan, and this is the only one I’m interested to buy.

I hope you find any solution before march 8th, before the offer deadline.

Our team is still investigating. As suggested, you can still take advantage of the promotion by purchasing Lifetime via this link instead: app.memrise.com/premium

You should have no issues doing that either via card or PayPal. If you do experience problems, please could you try the steps below?

As I said, the Lifetime Plan purchase is still not working. Even with the regular link the only plan I can’t buy is the Lifetime Plan. The payment process works normally for the monthly and the annual plans, but not for the Lifetime.

I’ve tried to make the purchase in 2 different computers and in my cellphone, with PayPal or credit card without sucess! There’s more than one week that I’m trying to buy the Lifetime Plan, even before this offer.

I really think this problem is occurring because of some code error. The offer ends today and it was not possible for me to get the Lifetime Plan.

I’m still waiting for some solution.

Hi sorry, don’t really have time to help with extensive debugging, doubly so for something I’m not allowed to access anyway. I tried on Opera with ad blocking on, and on Chrome and IE without anything, always with the same issue.

I would be interested in why Memrise won’t let Pro users on recurring subscriptions upgrade to lifetime? is it just because you make more money from us that way? ie do I need to cancel my subscription, and am then allowed to sign up?
