I have been using and loving Memrise for months and this morning I can’t get it to let me add words and definitions. It only gives me a box for definitions. I have no idea what is going on. I never had a problem before. Any help would be appreciated. My kids are addicted.

Looks like your screenshot didn’t make it through. I think you need to log in to the forums and upload the screenshot through the forums instead of replying by email and attaching the screenshot to the email
If you can’t type in word-column maybe you have made it an attributes column (accidentally)… can you check that?
It isn’t checked as an attribute. Everytime I try a new course I have that problem. It isn’t that way on previous courses I have done.
if you type in the definition…and add it… will it then let you type in the word?
I even tried setting up a new account and it comes up that way. I can’t understand how it has changed as I never had this before and now I can’t use the site. I guess I’ll have to look for a new website. I hate to as I think this is the best thing on the web but it is unusable.

Yes but that doesn’t allow words either.
It isn’t a problem with any of my old courses - just the new one. How do I make you a contributer?

The reason why you are unable to type in the “Word” field, is because it’s actually an Image field, which must had been created by the database your course is attached to.
Here’s what happens when I enter a definition and then tap the blue icon.
Notice underneath the Word title, it is asking for an image file.
To fix this, click the “Add level” button which will create a new level in your course and gives you access to the database.
You can now delete the “Word” column and create a new text column. This can be done by clicking the “Add Column” button and select type “Text”.
However, I wouldn’t advise you to go through this bothersome route as you’ll also need to change the testing direction and also move around the column.
What I would suggest is creating a new database for your course, then delete the existing one.
