One word missing? // SOLVED. Maybe definition too long?

There is a strange issue in my course.
http://www.memrise.com/course/489698/finnish-2-words-a-day-project/

It has a total of 1278 records (words) and after completing the course it shows: 1278 / 1277 words learned (1278 in long term memory)

Why 1277??

OK, I’ve detected the problem.
One of the last words I’ve added to my course had a slightly longer definition. Nothing I could be worried about, but hey, somehow Memrise didn’t count that word! Isn’t it strange?
The word was showed correctly in the learning and review sessions, and the total amount of WORDS LEARNED did include that word too, but Memrise kept ignoring it by stating that my course contained a total of 1277 entries instead of 1278.
A bug? Anyone?

I don’t know if this was the problem here, but I’ve encountered and heard reports of similar issues that occur sometimes when a word is added to or removed from a course. It doesn’t update correctly, so the count of total words becomes off.

What seems to work to fix that issue is to go into the level editor and click ‘save and continue’ at the bottom, though it does sometimes take a while to take effect. Again, I’m not sure if this was your problem, but it may be worth trying to change the definition back and seeing if the problem returns. It seems possible to me that it simply responded to you saving the database again.

To be extra thorough: Memrise allows longer definitions, so that wasn’t the problem.
