They say “Oi” in Brazil rather than “Ola”.

But it’s more common to hear "Oi"

Yes, both are correct. “Oi” literally means “hi” and “Olá” literally means “hello”. So as you can see, the words are different but the meaning is the same, just like in English (it doesn’t really matter wheter you say “hello” or “hi”, right?)
