If you put the “en” or “et” at the end of the noun, it becomes “the” instead of “a” or “an,”
therefore, “a witness” is “et vitne”, “the witness” is “vitnet,” so why does the sentence read: “vitnet sa den mistenkte” instead of “vitnet sa mistenkte.”
