My MemrisePro (iphone app) doesn´t add difficult words, just from the latest update, why?
Yes, I’m having the same problem on iOS, and so is my husband. We’re both doing Chinese courses, and the Difficult Words disappeared some weeks ago.
I see, from other replies, that the Memrise team is aware of the problem, and is working on it.
It’s rather frustrating, when you’re a Pro member, not to get one of the key features of being a Pro member!
I sincerely hope that Memrise might extend our year-long membership by a week or two to compensate us for the loss of this very useful feature!
Well I have the same problem too. Being a memrise pro membership gives you the option for Difficult Words. Well what is the point if we can’t get it??
I hope there will be some compensation for the lost time.
It’s doing the same thing on Android devices. Mine stop a few weeks back. Only the website works for words missed being added to Difficult Words.

My difficult words disappeared too, also a Pro member, any clue when I’ll get them back?
The most recent update has broken difficult words again, for the second time in the three months I’ve been using the app.
@mike.mcgowan.75 ~ what version of the iOS app are you referring to ? I am on v. 2.1.16 (2411) and I was able to use the difficult word function a few minutes ago. I know there are more recent updates available, so possibly you are on one of them ?
Difficult words was working in the previous version.
It got broken in the last update, which was to v. 2.1.21 (3175)

Still not working in today’s update. I have two difficult words in my browser, but none are showing in the app. I’ve logged out and logged back in again in the app, and that didn’t make any difference. The new version is shown as v. 2.1.22 (212200) in “About Memrise” in the app.
I’m a Pro user also and DW doesn’t countup on app. I have to use browser (on phone) to do the difficult words. It’s a nuisance, but I’ve managed so far. I use android and the latest update (autoupdate is enabled)

The web site shows that I have two difficult words, but none appear on iOS (Memrise version 2.1.22).
I’ve tried to sync the app, and also tried logging out and logging back in.
It’s frustrating having paid for a feature, but no longer being able to use it.
In the latest version, which has only recently been released at the time of writing, which is v. 2.1.24 (3176), difficult words has started appearing again.
However, it still doesn’t work entirely consistently between desktop browser and iOS app. In a desktop browser (Firefox) I saw 7 difficult words, but in the iOS app I only saw 6. (However, I don’t remember this ever actually working consistently, even before difficult words disappeared entirely from the iOS app. There were always inconsistencies between the number of difficult words reported in a desktop browser and in the iOS app.)
I have memrise on three devices, all using different versions. Only my oldest device, an iPhone 4 continues to display the correct number of difficult words. Both the version on my iPad Air 2 and my HTC One M8 get the numbers very wrong, usually missing out the majority. The iPhone can’t be updated so will retain this older version. Consequently, I use the iPhone to try to find and learn these difficult words although I use the other two devices for most other learning. This problem has persisted through numerous updates.
