the second day with big problems reviewing in-house courses for Spanish Spain and Mandarin Chinese
while for Mandarin the audio functions sme 70%, listening and natives for the Spanish 2 (i did not do 1), do not function most of the time (no video or audio playing). I have the problem regardles of the laptop used (tried 3) or the browser (firefox, brave, epic, etc)
when doing normal watering/reviewing, the missing audio play blocks the next item, as the algorithm is waiting for the audio file to play, which play does not happen, so the review is possible only if i press next several times
EDIT: i had the impression the malfunction affects only the “official” courses, but i was wrong, tonight no audio whatever, be it user created or memrise created courses…
I noticed that the latest update disabled autoplay of audio and video, which I think includes audio of Memrise courses. It works for me once I continued through the first example, probably because at that point Firefox seems to think I am choosing to play the audio. There’s a little i surrounded by a circle to the left of the html address in the bar, and clicking on that should bring up an option to allow autoplay of audio on the site.
I hope that solves your problem. If not, then it could be any number of issues, some possibly related to autoplay.
i am using mainly firefox, but it is not an autoplay issue… in the morning the thing went away - new buttons and stuff - but in the evening the problem came back together #with the old buttons reinstated… probably when they thinker around these issues pop up?
at least now i have only sort of delays and i can go on with watering, even if it is unnervingly sluggish
