testing the listening skills/test by audio: prompt is Chinese audio, answer with the English translation.
I looked them up, they do what my courses do, pretty much. But my HSK1 course has been very popular I am glad about that. I hope it helped many.
I took them on for extra practice (the 1 & 2 mandarin ones), I am only HSK2 level. But German is my target language at the moment. I seem to have more Chinese courses than German ones now.
@sircemloud: do these new memrise course have audio? because those for English speakers don’t. I’ve deleted my history (lost items!! ) in the old hsks of Whately - hate guessing 3,4,5, in pinyin - thinking also that, if I really need to repeat the basics, I could use the new courses. Surprise, 0 audio (how stingy, no Chinese native in London, who could do it with a tiny bit of money… imagine)
I’d like to raise awareness of my HSK 6 course for English speakers, which I feel is now complete enough to be announced.
It was designed to complete the series of HSK courses by BenWhately that test on both English definitions and the pinyin on each word. Previously, HSK 6 was not made available. This one has full audio and lots of alternate definitions on each word. The audio is pulled from the Forvo API whenever possible.
Essential Chengyu 成语
60 Chengyu with native audio. I was frustrated that other courses didn’t have audio so I went ahead and made my own (audio courtesy of Forvo)
I just made a couple of new courses related to Chinese provinces.
Chinese Provinces - Pinyin teaches the characters and pinyin for the names of the provinces, while Chinese Provinces - Maps prompts with a map and has one type the name of the province using Chinese characters.
The motivation behind having these as separate courses is that when reviewing, one doesn’t have to constantly be switching back and forth between English and Chinese keyboards.
