Hi, first post so sorry if it’s a stupid one. I’m build a course to test myself on the Japanese Kanji in the Rosetta Stone program. I am adding words no problem, but when I try to use the course and learn new words, it just teaches me one at a time which is time consuming and tedious. My settings are for 5 words in a new session and it works like that for the other 4 courses I’m studying, (other peoples’ courses that is). Am I doing something simple wrong or have I hit a bug. Thanks in advance.
Hi, answering my own post here but things have now got worse. I can’t learn new words at all any more, even one at a time. I now get a message that says Whoops, cannot load the session. Sorry. Anyone got a clue what’s going on here? Thanks…
Without looking at the course link and the specific level probably not.
Have you tried to choose a specific level instead of the (global/direct) “Learn new words” button from the generic course URL?
Are you 100% sure that you have two definitions for ALL words in a choosen level?
AFAIK Memrise does e.g not work if you only provide the 1st source or target definition but you leave out the 2nd column.
I am not 100% sure as I am not a course owner myself, but sometimes very weird messages popup for reasons like this.
Have you opened the Firefox web console with F12 / Ctrl + Shift + K and checked for any specific JavaScript (red/yellow) error messages?
hi thanks for replying. i only have one level in the course. there are definitely two, (and sometimes three - japanese has kana and kanji for most words), definitions. The course used to work but then went wrong. I created a totally new course and put in all the same words this morning. It still isn’t quite behaving, only teaching 3 words at a time, but it’s better than before at least. Will delete the old one as it’s useless…
