Need an advice about course creation

Currently I try to create my own course here. I have added several words (kana - translation - kanji). Among added words there are several words without kanji. Now I want to make two levels - in one level I want to test kana-translation and in the anothere one - kanji-translation. I created a level, then I pressed “Duplicate”. But it doesn’t work. The list of words in both levels is totally the same, that’s why the system in level 2 asks me to type “kanji” even in the words without kanji. If I delete this word from the level, actually I delete it from my database - and it disappears from the level 1 too:( Of course, I can “ingnore” these “words-without-kanji” in level 2, but it seems to me a strange idea. And I see that in the existing courses the authors could solve this problem. So, how I can leave in the level 2 only the words with kanji and in level 1 all words?

Hi, @IrinaSmirnovad755. I’ve been making courses that are similar to what it sounds like you’re attempting, so I should be able to help.

When deleting the words that don’t have kanji from the kanji level, you’ll want to delete it in the level editor (where you duplicate the levels), rather than the database editor. It shouldn’t remove any entries from the database when you delete them there.

On testing direction, that can be changed by opening the level in question with the 'Show/Hide" button and clicking the pencil icon below the level’s title.

I hope that helps, but feel free to post again if you’re still having trouble.

Thank you very much! It works! Really, I deleted the words in the DB page and I didn’t notice it. Now I have tried to delete the word in the “level edit mode” and it was successful:)
