On the multiple-choice questions all the answers start with the same letter. I’d rather choose from a random selection of words. I haven’t found a way to change this in the settings, and it’s extremely annoying and hard on the eyes, like playing “find the needle in the haystack.” Is this something that is going to be fixed or is it a permanent feature? Example:
It’s a feature. Memrise seems to adjust the difficulty level of multiple choice. If it thinks you’ve taken too long to review, and might have forgotten things, it gives you easier multiple choice, where all the words are very different. But when you’re learning new words, and get quizzed on the same one several times during a planting session, it gets progressively harder. “Hard” means that memrise tries to pick similar answers, so that if you’re unsure of the right answer you’re more likely to get confused or pick something similar. If you still get it right with the hard multiple choice, that’s closer to knowing that you know it.

Thanks Cos, that makes sense. I prefer to have the easy choice when it comes to multiple choice

I like this feature. In some of my courses I have even added half-empty entries with similar but wrong answers, so you’d have to read all of them carefully. Otherwise you’d only look at a word and pick without reading
