Mistakes in French courses

I have been spending a lot of time going through a number of coures in French.
I am assuming those created by Memrise are correct.
However, there are numerous errors in those not created by Memrise.
Does Memrise not check these “other” courses before people can start to use them?
What is the point of trying to learn a language when answers are wrong or insufficent time is given to properly creating these “other” courses so there is some semblance of continuity and more importantly continuity in the way these courses is designed.
For example:-
“French Food” - the required French answer to “pear” is “une poir”! Which is WRONG!! It should be “poire”. In any event why is it “une” as the question is simply “pear” not “a pear” or “the pear”. Poorly drafted and put together ignoring the incorrect answer!
“Expo 2 Module 4 Manger and boire” - there appears, presumably intended to be in French, “Du the”! Why the capital “D”? Where is the accent on the “e” in “the”? This is incorrect! This is bad French! This course is littered with mistakes and inconsistencies.
“Y7 En ville” - the answer to “is there” (not even asking for a question mark!) is “est ce qu’il y a”. Where is the hyphen in “est-ce…”?
Obviously few, if any, of these “other” course are checked before being made available. Why is that?
What is the point of trying to learn French from poorly constructed, thoughtlessly put together, inaccurate courses - some with simple and glaring mistakes? Unless of course this is some dastardly plan, as in the Monty Python sketch about the Hungarian dictionary.
This simply means that those quality course people have put together and spent a lot of time and put great deal of thought in to will not be trusted.
How on earth can anyone be sure of the accurancy of any course?
Can anyone shed any light on this, please?

sorry, but you are pretty harsh and demanding. Did it ever cross your mind to search for the specific fora/threads of the courses you took? maybe like this the creators would have a chance to respond… Also, if you look around in here you might find better courses. Also, if you do not like others people courses (for which courses the creators ever gets a thing from anybody, did you ever paid them or said thanks for the well made courses?), why don’t you make your own courses?

and no, the memrise courses had and still have mistakes (seehttp://community.memrise.com/t/course-forum-frances-1-7-by-memrise-french-for-spanish-speakers/3810, [Course Forum] Französisch 1 - 7 by Memrise (French for German speakers), [Course Forum] French 1-7 by Memrise, etcetc)

hahah what a surprising answer.

I get the point, but I disagree.

If you create a course intented for other people, you should do your best to be consistent, to avoid mistakes and/or to correct them.

What’s the point of learning a new language if you have to second guess the course?

If you need any help EmanuelHouse, Msg me, I’ll be happy to help you with your french “issues” = )

I am not demanding and I surely I am not being harsh.
I am subscribing, ie paying, to Memrise because it offers a language service to help me learn a foreign language.
If they have no checks on the content which is put out in their name how on earth can anyone tell whether what you are trying to learn is correct?
It is obvious that there are many, many mistakes on a great many of these courses.
This should be made clear before you sign up.
I am still unaware as to how I can be certain that any course I choose on Memrise’s site can be relied upon to be accurate.
What is the point of spending hours following a course when it becomes clear that the creator hasn’t got some of the information you, are supposed to be, learning correct? After all these are language courses. You would have thought that they would at least use the right words and put just a little effort in to ensuring they are spelt correctly. Surely that is not too much to ask? What is the point of learning the incorrect word in your new language? That would seem to go to the very heart of the matter.
Kind Regards

Dear gitanes68,
your English is very good but littered with simple mistakes. Surely you should have had it corrected before posting.

Hmm?

I am afraid that I am, somewhat, at a loss to understand, to what you are referring.

Perhaps, you would be good enough to elucidate.

I welcome receiving details of and where you have encountered my English littered with simple mistakes.

I await, with interest, your reply.

I am, and remain, your most obedient servant.

Presumably lack of attention rather than actual mistakes. But since that is what you are complaining about…
Here you are:

Still somewhat bemused as to what it is you are actually complaining about.
Perhaps you could be, let us say, rather more specific. Perhaps details of what it is I have, apparently, done which seems to arouse your ire.
I await with bated breath.
