Hi there is a mistake with the sentence 悲しいんでいます, one i is missing as it is a i-adjective. Currenctly it spells as 悲しんでいますin your example.

first of, there is nothing wrong with that sentence, 悲しんで is a conjugation of the verb 「悲しむ」. 悲しいんでいます feels completely wrong
and even if there was a problem, you should mention what course it is from…
