Hello, In Course 2 level 24 the is あついです translated as “est froid (température)” (cold temperature)… In my dictionary あつい is “chaud” (worm). Who is right? Thanks a lot for having a look
If we’re sticking to basics, あつい is usually hot and あたたかい is for warm. So I’d say the course is the correct one.
Sorry, RyouBakura, but you just confirm it’s not right. In the course there a mismatch in French. But maybe my English is not so good to explain you (btw, I discovered I wrote “worm” instead of “warm” ). I think it’s a real mismatch because we have two opposite translations in the same lesson.
Here you have a copy/past of the “niveau 24” of the “level 12” (as I read on ma PC):
…
あついです - est froid (température) - in 7 hours (froid →cold)
つめたいです - est froid - in about a day
さむいです - est froid (temps) - in 7 hours
…
すーぷはあついですか?est-ce que la soupe est chaude ? (chaud → hot or warm)
…
It’s not a “big” error, but I’m a bit perfectionist and I believe it’s a god thing to tell you the problem. (And sorry for my English spoken, and thanks a lot)
Ah I see what you mean. Language difference is a huge thing.
Though I do still stand behind what I said.
And your English is okay.
