Misguided perception and the cure

I find a lot of mis-guided user-experience examples from Memrise services. I recommend you guys consult an user-experience expert to see what’s going on with your users.

Here’s one simple example.

When I try to explain how to search my course, people are constantly mis-understanding.

Same contents, just a little bit of positional changes may resolve this kind of mis-guided perception problem.

You would be surprised, how much people are confused by this simple example. I was trying to explain this simple search on Skype session, and it took almost 15 minutes. Confusion was caused by that bloody greeen button right next to the search input.

Instead, you need to choose first the langauge setting far away left from the search input.
