Yup. I definitely been experiencing this. irritating for longer words. Hope this will be fixed ASAP.

I’ve been using Memrise for three years and this suddenly appeared two weeks ago. It’s totally derailed my regimen, so I too hope for a speedy resolution.

It’s more than irritating … it’s downright impossible to make a selection … I guess I’ve hit the words that are all long now …

If it helps investigators/bug-fixers, this was definitely not caused by iOS 12. I held off of upgrades precisely from a fear that any change might derail my Memrise progress … I only upgraded in an attempt to rule out the upgrade as a fix, before I submitted the bug report. The change happened right around the first of the month, when I traveled to the UK I first noticed it.

Hi - What OS were you on when the bug first appeared? And what version of Memrise did you have? (if you cannot remember, can you confirm what version you are using now?) You can find this in the profile section of the app.

In hindsight I should have written down what OS level I was at. I’m pretty sure I just avoided any updates at all to iOS this entire year. I know for absolutely certain that a new update appeared in September and I avoided it. I’m pretty sure that there were earlier updates I avoided as well.
The Memrise updates I install as soon as they come. I’m currently on v.2.3.48.8511; I don’t suppose we could try falling back somehow to an earlier build? [BTW, many thanks for looking at this. :slight_smile: ]

I’d be willing to work with your developer … (I’m one myself) … for instance if he can make available a fall-back iOS install of a prior build, we could see quickly if that took care of it, and he could then do a diff to see the changes in the repo. :slight_smile:

Hmmm … the truncation problem seems to have gone away …

Or sync changes in course to iOS without the need to delete and re-install the app.
