Met daily goal, synced, but reset

I have faced this issue for 4 times. It’s very annoyed and disappointed…

I learn the offline course in Android, after that, I synchronize successfully for 33 days. Today when I finish an other review, it is reset to 1 day… Don’t know why.

There are many update for Android app recently. I’m not sure whether it causes problem.
Could you please check and fix it? Thank you.

I check again and it shows streak 2 days… Force close app and reopen, it shows 1 day…
I think we should have some way for sync without error, or improve this sync function now.

I understand that this bug let to you loosing the streak count? As a workaround, you can get your streak count back here

About the bug itself:
It helps the staff if you tell

  • what Android version (and possibly phone) you have,
  • a link to the course (who knows, it might be course specific)
  • what the steps are that get your phone to this problem. For example, what do you mean with ‘synchronize’? Do you mean logout and login again? Try to be as clear as you can, so somebody else could try the same thing and see if they get the same result.

It doesn’t mean that the team will fix anything right away, but at least there is a higher chance of fixing or response.

About the bug:

  • Android version: Android 9.0. My device is Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X with custom ROM.

  • Usually, I learn memrise offline course in free time without internet access. I usually reach the streak in this learning time. When I return back to my home, I force close it and reopen with internet access. It will take a while for synchronize my streak.

    I call this procedure is normal synchronize as I do it every day.

In the day the bug happened, I just remembered the Memrise app was updated with Play Store when I connected to internet. I done the synchronize as usual and saw the streak icon was full. Yesterday, when I came back it was reset to 0 day.

This bug had happened in sometimes ago. I think it can be problem with the offline course synchronization.

The are are quite a few threads in this issue. The problem is that the app is saying the day’s goals are met but if you check on the website you’ll be a few points off it. It’s not course specific, and has been happening since the most recent app update (which for me was about a week ago). It’s really annoying

I realize that the restore streak is removed.
Could I use the previous google form link to restore? My account is Pro account and I have already submit form.
