It appears that now I can reach memstats.com only via VPN. No big surprize since I am in Russia, but maybe Captcha has had something to do with it too.

Well, this is weird as I haven’t changed anything in server configuration nor have I ever blocked anyone. Let me know after a day or two if this persists.

You are right, it depends on the provider and probably is just a bug (so far).

Interestingly, at least some users with all-cyrillic names cannot be included in the common list. Like this one, for example:
https://memstats.com/Дмитрий_Тайхриб

It actually is included on the global list, currently at position 6723.

Searching for the user is broken though. I will look at this over the weekend.

Could you somehow update the leaderboard and make updates regular? I have noticed it is outdated by a couple of month. Thank you for this website.

Search should now work as expected. Let me know if there are any issues!

This is problematic. Reasonably (not putting too much strain on memrise servers) updating the whole leaderboard takes about… 85hours, so I opted to update first top 1000 users once a day. Is this ok?

I think so. Thank you.

Just to be clear: when you click on any user in the leaderboard, its info and position will get updated anyway.

Hi @neaz333 - thanks.

Will this still be relevant when user courses are only on Decks?

Will there be one for Official MemRise courses and one for Decks or will it be a combined one?

Right now this is combined leaderboard - decks and memrise points accumulate. This is how memrise counts points currently. As for the future - if they ever separate decks and memrise points and I can pull their data from their api endpoint / website I will also make separate leaderboards.

Well done - brilliant.

When the user changes his name, it seems to say error saving data to DB.
Like for example, https://www.memstats.com/RamanRaman
His previous name was Raman_Raman8, or is it just a matter of waiting?
Btw, this thing is great. keep up the amazing work! :3

This should work now. You can change your memrise username and:

  1. go to memstats.com / yournewname and it will be updated right away
  2. wait a couple of hours (max 1 day) and the site will update your new username on the list automatically

cheers!
