Q: How do I add myself/other user to the leaderboard e.g. user: neaz333?
A: Visit memstats.com/neaz333 and neaz333 user will be automatically added/updated if already exists in the leaderboard.
Q: How often is the leaderboard updated?
A: Once a day, starting at midnight GMT, top 1000 users are updated. Furthermore, user stats are pulled from memrise servers once you click on a username link in the table or visit user’s page: i.e. memstats.com/neaz333
In order to prevent hammering of memrise servers, user statistics will be pulled only after at least 5 minutes have passed since last update of a given user.
Q: What about streaks or per course points?
A: No public memrise API is available to do this unfortunately
One thing I just realized is that the leaderboard only seems to contain a subset of all users, i. e. people who visited their own account, i. e. http://memstats.com/olaf.rabbachin.
I’m not trying to bash your efforts, but I don’t think this makes very much sense - I can definitely not be #191 on the global list!
This list is temporary. Until I paginate the table it makes no sense to preload it with thousands of users as it will slow down your browser. Give me few days to fix it (I am busy now with other things).
Actually, the user does not need to visit his/her own page to be included in the rating. It could be anyone opening their page from the memstats index.
It appears that now I can reach memstats.com only via VPN. No big surprize since I am in Russia, but maybe Captcha has had something to do with it too.
Well, this is weird as I haven’t changed anything in server configuration nor have I ever blocked anyone. Let me know after a day or two if this persists.
