So this has been bugging me for the past few months, everytime im listening to music and using memrise it keeps dampening the music so that I can clearly hear the word. Now, in the past this didn’t happen and I’m wondering how I can listen to my music and whatever word I’m trying to learn WITHOUT it lowering the volume?

You are lucky you get some music. Starting up Memrise kills my music.
Dear memrise creators,
I am replying to this comment because it falls under the same category. I know the lowering background audio/music is probably an intended feature but it is very off putting for me. I use memrise in the train with an ipad and like to block out all the noise with some music and because the app lowers the volume I have to set the volume quite loud to hear the music. But everytime I close the app, go to notifications, exit the slide over feature (on ios) the original volume is returned and it suddenly blasts into my ears and actually makes my ears hurt. I get that for the hearing tests it is useful to have the voice a bit louder but I have the hearing tests turned off since my course does not support it. So could you please make it so that the background volume is either adjustable to preference or that when all other memrise sounds are turned off that it keeps the original volume.
