I have tested the app on two other devices, an Apple iPad Air 2 (MNV22KN/A), software version 11.2.1 and an Apple iPhone 6s (MKQN2QN/A), software version 11.2.2.
The bug exists on these devices as well!
This might be a problem with the API which provides the pictures, seeing as the bug exists on older versions of the app as well.
Hello Memrise support? Hello anyone?
To make it easier for you to come with an answer i have created multiple choice selections for you. So now you only have to pick A, B, C or D.
A) We are working on the problem but it is hard to fix
B) We do not have a clue how to fix this so we won’t
C) We completely missed your postings, sorry for that. The bug will be fixed on June 22th 2018, at 05:23 AM
D) If you don’t like it please switch to Duolingo
I have the same problem. Until a recent update my memes using 20cmx15cm and 72dpi were displayed beautifully, but now the have the sides cut off. I have spent hundreds of hours developing my course for a minority language (Unified Cornish). If I knew what the preferred size/ratio/and dpi was it that would be a start. I know that there will be a big demand for my course, but I do not feel able to launch it publicly until this issue is resolved.
Hi. Thanks for reporting this. We are aware of some issues for users regarding mems being cut-off on the app, and hope to have a solution implemented shortly.
Please solve it ! It is irritating and I cannot study English because of you Memrise. I do not understand. Great Memrise is not able to solve basic coding problem ???
I still have the same problem.
I reinstalled the app multiple times and I also installed older versions of Memrise, but it still continues.
Please fix it immediately. We want to study but we can’t.
The update did not fix the problem on my android device either. Many thanks to you and your team for continuing to work on the problem. I would send you all pizza and red bull to keep you all going through the night if I could
