Meet the Natives/ Learn with Locals- Brazilian Portuguese

Does anyone know if Memrise has any plans to add Meet the Natives videos to their Brazilian Portuguese courses? I know Memrise is a European company, which is probably why Portuguese from Portugal already has the feature while Brazilian Portuguese does not. I feel kind of frustrated that languages like Swedish and Icelandic that are not as prominent or studied on a global scale have videos of native speakers, while Brazilian Portuguese, the most spoken form of one of the most spoken languages in the world does not. I understand that Brazil is a lot further away than Sweden or Iceland, but there are lots of Brazilian immigrants living all throughout Europe, including large populations in Portugal and the U.K. I know it’s not the most reliable source on earth, but according to Wikipedia the Brazilian Population in the U.K. has grown by 700% between 1991 and 2009. That means they could easily do this without even leaving the country. Anyway, I’m not sure if anyone else on here has felt the same way, or knows why Brazilian Portuguese has been overlooked when many other language courses already have the Learn with Locals feature on them. I’d love to hear what others think, as well as if anyone has any suggestions or ideas.

Hey @pochojoel, I hope you are doing fine!

In fact, we still don’t have a “Meet the locals” mode for PTBR. We do intend to keep expanding our video mode to more of our official courses, but, unfortunately, I don’t have an estimated date for that.

For your reference, same occurred to American English x British English. Our British English course has hundreds of videos for years, while our American English version is still with a limited number of videos and we keep working on that.

Thats a pitty… any plans here? i would buy lifetime membership but this is a killer festure @IgCostaBR …
