Lost my account when I reset my password

Hi,
Having had to do a factory reset on my tablet, I had also had to reset the password on Memrise. I used the same email address, but memrise set me up a new account instead, and I have now lost 18 months of training.
Does anyone know what to do?

Hi @Chardonbleu,

You could try ā€˜taggingā€™ one of the Memrise Admins (or MemriseSupport) in your post - using the ā€œ@ā€ symbol and ask if they can recover your records.

Have you tried logging in using your handle ā€œChardonbleuā€ rather than your email address?

Actually, I donā€™t remember what my original log on ID was, as my app was always onā€¦ The only constant is my email address.

Can you not remember what ID you used?

You could go to some courses you did and look for the ā€œAll Timeā€ people who have studied the course and you may recognise your id and picture.

Do you keep all your mail, or do you delete it after a while? I did a search in my own mailbox on ā€˜Memriseā€™ and it mentioned my user name in some of them. For example, mail titled like ā€œ4 new words ready to reviewā€ start with, " Hi , You recently learned some new words on Memriseā€¦"

Try to do a search, find the oldest email you can find. Also mails with replies on your posts have your name in it. I hope it helps!!

Thanks John, I delete my emails regularly so no chance there. I might have to consider this as revision timeā€¦ :neutral_face:

If you only delete downloaded copies on a computer then you will still find them on the server and be able to search.

Hi John,
No, I havenā€™t. I started and lost patience. I just decided to start again, and use this as revision. I am watching tv programs and reading the new online as well, and Iā€™m only doing it for pleasure, so am in no rush.
