In the Memrise app, e.g. when input buttons get arranged into two rows, the page height becomes larger than the screen, so it is susceptible to sliding/scrolling.
Since it is hard to press letter keys fast without any sliding, very often, the keys get stuck in their pressed state without actually entering the respective letter. So, one out of five times, I find letters missing when finishing the word, and I find the malfunctioning key in a reduced “pressed” state - see screenshots below.
This behaviour is perfectly reproducible on multiple devices and never occurs when a single row of soft keys doesn’t allow for screen scrolling.
Disabling scrolling is not an option, because on a small screen, the blue space bar can get partly covered behind the yellow “Continue” button, and is unreachable without actual scrolling.
So somehow, the scrolling should not interfere with the pressing of the keys.
