So I’ve just stared using Memrise and I’m enjoying learning Indonesian via a community made course. But, I’m finding Memrise is choosing new words and phrases from lessons that seem more advanced than the first few. What this has led to is me learning sentences that are made up of words I don’t know yet.
Is this normal in Memrise?
looking at your profile, you’re raking one single course (A+ of dawnoftime), where you learned 21 items/words… would please describe what kind of sentences (made up of words you don’t know) you get to see?
(if you mean the various greetings starting with “selamat”, that selamat means peace, congratulate, congratulations etc)
also: there are a number of beginner courses on memrise (some of them really good ones), you can combine them, you don’t have to take one single course at a time
Thanks… I’m not a total dunce when it comes to Bahasa Indonesia, but the kinds of sentences are things like, “Maaf, Saya mau pulang”, which is in Lesson 54. I know all of those words thankfully, but one would assume I wouldn’t be learning from Practical Expressions when I’m ticking off words like Halo in Arrival/Survival.
My question is- is this picking of new words randomised from various lessons?
Also, why would you say I can combine multiple courses when I’m having this issue with one course? Wouldn’t that just cause me more grief?
