Earlier I posted in the bugs section, but maybe among course creators somebody encountered the same problem as me.
I recently created a course http://www.memrise.com/course/1118951/common-advanced-vocabulary/4 and automatically divided 1039 added words into levels of 50 words. However, I cannot start learning this course. If I click “Learn”, it appears to be thinking a moment and then nothing happens. And this behavior is after I deleted all levels and recreated them. Earlier after clicking “Learn”, the last level “1001-1039” started, and after I finished it, the “Learn” button moved me to the error 404 page. What should I do for my course to work properly?
@Piotr_Ziolo ~ I couldn’t get the course to work either, using the link you provided in your post. Like you, clicking on the learn button didn’t do anything.
However, I copied the url you provided into a new browser page (in Firefox) and opened the course from there. It worked as expected, and I even scored a few points from the first two words in Level 1. Not sure why it doesn’t work originally though, since it should. Maybe someone more technically minded could help. Sorry.
@Hydroptere - I hope all is well with you. I also tried this out in Chrome, and the same thing happened (no learn button functionality), so I think it is more than just a Firefox issue. It appears to be a Memrise issue.
@Hydroptere - I hope all is well. Thanks from the family. Also “off topic” : not sure if you would enjoy the beaches very much here in Taiwan, at least not the part where I am. They are not the lovely sand beaches good for swimming, surfing or diving (those are in other areas in Taiwan). Here they are very rugged and rocky for the most part (the mountains meet the sea in a wonderful display of beauty !). It is advised to bring a camera, not a swimsuit. Now though is a good time to visit, since the typhoons are late this year. (We are however making up for that by having an increased number of earthquakes !) I wish you luck with your bird course efforts !
I posted this first in “web bugs”, but I thought that maybe among courses creators somebody encountered this problem and knows the solution. Thx for your input.
I reported this bug to the Memrise team as well, but they aren’t very quick in resolving such issues, I suppose.
