Hey, I’m posting this to report an error/bug/probem with the Memrise course Japanese Pitch Accent 1- Introduction. I’m not sure if this is how I’m supposed to report bugs/errors– senior memrise folks feel free to redirect me.
After you learn pitch accent number “0” for several verbs (でる、する、遊ぶ、etc.), each 0 shows up as a separate answer option when you’re supposed to select answers to the question of what the pitch accent number is for a given verb. So what you end up having is a question that looks like the following:
What is the AN number for the following verb? する
A. 0
B. 1
C. 0
D. 0
E. 2
F. 3
And of course, only one of those 0’s is the “correct” answer, which is an issue since they’re wholly indistinguishable from one another and are literally the same answer. Please help!
Thanks,
-g.
It looks like Memrise deleted the old comments section, and I don’t know if this is the right spot to post either lol. I don’t check here often anymore, so apologies for the late reply. XD
We noticed this glitch a couple years ago, but unfortunately, in my email conversations with Memrise help, their system isn’t meant to host questions such as mine. So, I am unable to get rid of the duplicated AN numbers. :0/
All I can recommend is to give yourself a pat on the back when you get the right answer, even if it’s a duplicate that Memrise marks incorrect, and just ignore it.
Hope you enjoy the course despite that annoying double-answer glitch! <3
