Japanese course 1 - kanji letters questions

Hi
i got to level 4 - “test run your hiragana” and learned some new words and then the newest ones are written in kanji letters which i can’t read… the words are - “cheers” and “let’s go”.
my questions are - why are those words appears the way they do? why not just in hiragana?
how am i suppose to know how to write those words?

Hi @howlcastle8,

Very good question to which we do not have a very good answer for just yet. We are trying to teach Japanese how they are written when you see those words in Japan, but you are right that we are not teaching Kanji at all. This is something we are working on at the moment, and hopefully we will have a good solution to provide to you in the coming months! Thank you for letting us know your concerns, we are taking it very seriously.
