I have been going through the (no-script) Japanese 1 course and have found that when you have to provide an answer by constructing elements of a sentence, these elements are in script and not in the phonetic way that is taught.
I have also found that when i submit the correct answer for desu; masu, it is constantly asking me the same question over and over and never finishing the lesson even though my points are going up.
That sounds like a bug. Was it with “how are you” and “I am well”? I have made corrections there, so you should not see the script appearing for those items anymore at least. Let me know if you keep seeing them. (You will have to log out and log in again to see the changes on the phone app)
For “desu; masu”, I’d like to ask for more details. The marking system is not very flexible and it will mark you wrong if you miss out punctuations or (sometimes) get the order wrong. Do you see any parts of your answer highlighted in red signalling that something is incorrect? Is an item is marked wrong, the system will prompt you with the same question again and again until your correct rate is above 80%.
Hi, it was mainly with “I am well” and the topic particle (…wa).
For the desu;masu, when i hit submit everything highlighted green. The script boxes contained a ; within them so i didn’t think i needed to put it in, i did try that but i kept getting the same thing.
